I’m a current student at the University of Miami and I feel as if I made a horrible decision based on receiving the most aid from them(about 53,000) . Everyone has made friends and settled in and I haven’t made a single friend as of yet. I don’t feel like myself here and only see it getting worse . I’ve decided that I want to transfer back home and go to Fordham University. I was accepted for the Fall Semester of 2016 at Fordham University previously . I am contemplating between applying again for the spring semester and calling and trying to reinstate my aid package which was 35,500$ or applying again in the fall semester as a sophomore transfer but I’m worried if I wait I will receive less aid regardless of my GPA being higher than it was in high school .
Honestly, relax. If you are a freshman, in which I am only assuming, you’re just getting settled in. No one just goes away to college an instantly has a huge social circle. Even if everyone went in to college knowing five other people. STAY POSITIVE. Keep an open mind and GET INVOLVED. Get involved with clubs, get social and sumberge yourself in the campus! Do not lose hope, not yet. Do everything you can and then decide if it’s really not your “place”… Best of luck, it’s a big transition, I know… but don’t get discouraged! Everyone else, even those who don’t look like it, are having the same anxious thoughts!
