<p>The title says it all. I am a freshmen and I plan on transferring next year. I want to work at SoCal and I don’t know how good Emory is at placing graduates at SoCal. However, I also plan on majoring in finance. Help? Opinions?</p>
<p>Did you get accepted? I’m from Southern California, and my father is an Emory alum. From what I know, the Emory SoCal alumni network is quite weak, but there are plenty of alumni living in the LA metropolitan area. I’d assume that if you can intern over the summer at SoCal area businesses, you’d be able to establish yourself in the finance industry, but I’m not sure how well connected Goizuetta is with those companies. </p>
<p>Why exactly do you want to live in Southern California badly enough that you’d consider transferring to USC? TBH, Atlanta and LA are fairly similar except for the rain and ocean.</p>
