Hi I’m currently a ceng. sophomore in UCSD. UCSD has great programs in Bio and the sciences but it’s ceng program is kinda weak. The program does have a ABET accreditation but it is really small and the great majority of teachers apparently suck after going through their reviews at ratemyproffesor. I want to make sure i learn the material right and from professors who teach it well. Should i try to transfer into a school with a better ceng program or should i stick with ucsd? I am fairly certain that im going to stay as a ceng. Any help would be appreciated!

look into UCBerkeley and stanford…

if you want to get out by the spring, look into Rice and Northwestern(application deadline is November 1st)

actually my question is that would it really matter if i transfer? would i have a much better chance at getting a better job at a school with a better program and with better teachers? Or would the ABET accreditation be enough at ucsd? i hear that jobs don’t really care where you graduate from and that most of the things you do need to know is during training but I’m not sure how concrete this is.
