<p>so i like the school that i am at…to an extent…</p>
<p>its a decent engineering school but its a bit of a party school…and not the super interesting kind either…its like the white, middle class, in the middle of nowhere so all we do is drink… supreme lack of culture… school…</p>
<p>i come from a very diverse community and it was kind of a shock for me…</p>
<p>and i knew what i was getting into…to an extent.</p>
<p>but a semester in I feel like I am missing out on what a true college experience should be…</p>
<p>also, i have plenty of friends but not many that i can relate to on an intellectual level(if that doesnt make me sound ridiculously pretentious i dont know what does)
but it is a fact and it is starting to drive me crazy…</p>
<p>so im thinking about transferring back to a top 20 state school bacj home…</p>
<p>wise or not?</p>
<p>pros:
-people i can talk to
-likely better pre=med advising
-research 1(but i haev that here too)
-close to home
-in-state tuition</p>
<p>cons:
a year and a half behind on establishing myself(research positions, organizations…_
-direct correlation to leadership positions…
-my parents would be ****ed for a bit since i made a big stink about coming here in the first place.
-its a really tough engineering school…i may screw up…and im doing pretty well right now here…</p>
