Should I Try MIT?

I am an international student from China
800 in SAT subject Math&Physics,
106 in TOEFL
92/100 GPA (Best local high school) but, ups and downs…
Last year top 1st student in the grade
3 research paper, actually they’re introductions to 3 ideas, no exaggeration, comparative to Twitter. Lots of activities and national awards. 1 year experience as president in a Press with 2 magazines published.

My agency said that my high school grade vary too much from year to year and is considerately low (3.7 in 4 scale) … And it doesn’t worth a shot at M.I.T.

Ask your ideas…Thx a lot.

I agree with your agency. You have absolutely no shot at MIT… I’m sorry.

What’s the loss in trying for MIT? It’s better knowing that you tried, than to not try at all and wonder if you could have gotten in, in the future. Even if your chances are futile, if you really want to go to MIT, I’d say go for it.
