Should I undergo a Math Major?

I’m currently a Sophomore Engineering Physics Major at my University. I recently completed all the trials necessary for a Math Minor, and will just need three more math classes to get a Major. Though it’s tempting, I have only one open math slot for my Junior/Senior year, so I would essentially need two more math classes to take to get a Bachelor’s after Graduation.

Should I do a Math Major and spend an extra semester taking two math credit classes or should I just say screw it and move on to focusing on getting a job or graduate school?

Unless there is measurable advantage in taking those additional two courses that will offset the loss of income from the additional semester, I don’t see the benefit.

Check if you can take the two math classes during a summer term. If so, you would be able to graduate on time.

Don’t stay extra time for an additional B.S. degree. If you want to go to graduate school, just get on with it. If you want a job, the additional degree (unless it is a Masters degree) does not help you at all.
