For context, I applied to T10s, this year was the first year I qualified for AIME (received a 85.5 on AMC 12A), and I’m a EE major. Should I report to all colleges or maybe just like MIT or something idk plz help @hebegebe
My view is that it’s ok to update the college once (and in rare cases twice) with significant additional accomplishments after submitting your application. You should pack as much as you can into those updates.
But let’s suppose that you are applying as a STEM student and this is your only update to a top-10 college. Is it worth it doing? If the college doesn’t yet know you made AIME, then yes it is . If it already knows you made AIME, then a 6 is not really not a major impact.
On the other hand, if you also have applications at places like Michigan, I do recommend sending the 6 there.
Now, I made a number of assumptions to create that response, and I don’t which if any apply to you. Give me more info, and I can refine my response.
thanks for your response! I messages you.
