<p>I’m an international, so I’m stuck between using the British or American english. Either way, I’ll have to be consistent throughout my application, but each may be good in its own ways. </p>
<p>If I use American english, I’m showing my adaptability and compatibility in my new American environment. It shows I’ll have mastery over my language use in my assignments, tests and interaction etc in college. It also shows my awareness of my audience for the application.</p>
<p>But if I use British english, I’m showing where I’m coming from, my heritage, and perhaps how I’m proud of my upbringing and education. It’d also symbolize(ise) the diversity I’d bring as an international student.</p>
