I’m currently a highschool senior and 9 of my letters come back next month I have only visited 2 and have never seen the other 7. I pretty much decided I would only see the colleges I got into so I don’t get my hopes up and get declined. But now my family wants to go visit some colleges and I really don’t want to. Should I just wait for the letters or should I just go see them?
If they only want to visit “some,” you could just go to the ones that top your list/you think you have a decent chance of getting into. In any case, getting a feel for different college environments can’t harm you!

Assuming that’s reflective of the selectivity of the colleges you applied to, the odds for most kids are pretty long. If you have to do some visits now I would suggest your safety is a must-see, your match schools are a good idea. I’d wait on the reaches until I knew if I got in.
