Well, my schedule kind of turned out whack as a transfer student and I could not take my intro proofs class until the spring. It is a requirement before getting into two sequences (Modern Algebra and Intermediate Analysis). I have to go by when the courses are offered.

This is basically my academic plan for the next two years.

I have some flexibility my senior year to take some classes, but I would like to know if graduate schools only take into account your fall semester and previously? I don’t really have any flexibility to change anything up for this year’s schedule concerning getting my intro to proofs class earlier than spring.

I have to fit in 3 general eds after my junior year in somewhere. However, I was thinking about taking Advanced Calculus my last semester (only time it is offered in next 4 years) and possibly two stats courses: Applied Survival Analysis and Applied Regression Analysis.

I would like to head into a BioStats master’s or PhD program, but I would’ve liked to consider the possibility of applying to grad school for applied math as well. I think that they’ll see that I had to take a majority of my “core” proofs classes as a senior and deny me cause I’m not as ahead of the game as other people. I wasn’t going to apply to top 10 or anything for applied math, but I will for BioStats. I know Berkeley calculates BioStats GPA from your junior + senior years.

There is a very real possibility that if I don’t get one of the classes on my list this junior year such as my intro proofs course I will be stuck at my college for another year.
