<p>Should I take SAT US History even though a subject 2 test is not required? The school I am applying to is not ivy-like selective.</p>

<p>Well, I’d say if you think you can score really well (the definition of this is really up to you), go for it. Can’t hurt, can it?</p>

<p>It couldn’t hurt and if you get a good score more power to you. But, obviously, it is not necessary, so basically it comes down to personal preference. If you want to take the exam, you feel as though you can do well, and don’t mind going to take yet another standardized test, I say do it.</p>
