Should I work my first year (transfer student)

<p>I just transferred to UT, and will be starting in fall 2011!</p>

<p>Anyhow, I am going straight into my engineering courses and wondering if i’ll have the time to work a part-time job on the weekends.</p>

<p>Now, i realize that if a plan accordingly, i can do it, but i want to know from other engineering students if working a part-time job during the weekend is wise or not.</p>

<p>As of now, i’ll be taking 14 credit hours. And all of them are mechanical engineering courses.</p>

<p>I’ll tell you two of my roommates were EE majors and they didn’t have much of a life the first two semesters at UT but i am not sure about mechanical. Its alot of classes that you have to take but you dont wanna take i heard</p>
