My school does not offer IB. My parents won’t let me transfer to a school that does have IB. Even if they do, my family would not have enough money to pay for the fees, anyways.

However, my school does offer AP and though, I might not get into at least one in every subject, I can still self study them.

Should I work on getting a APID or is it all a scam from AP trying to be like IB?

If you can handle AP level work I would go for it. AP can only help you. I wouldn’t really see AP as a scam. They’re just a business that can help students if they’re willing to study for exams.

try for the APID!
it’s not really a “scam”, it’s just an additional diploma and since AP work really prepares you for college, it’s always a good thing. I’m trying for the APID too, actually, and taking the broad range of AP classes to get it is very helpful.
And byubound is right, a business is a business, but collegeboard is non-profit and taking APs can only enhance your app. go for it!
