Should I?

Should I take the SAT this year as a sophomore?

No, go get a girlfriend NOW.

Why would you take it? Are you ready for it? If you are then take it. If not then don’t take it. Very simple…

I wish I had taken it last year. Then I would have known what to prepare for better, I don’t think the PSAT is a good enough indicator.

well, if you’ve gotten at LEAST 700 across on your practice tests, you could take it.

I know sophomores who took the SAT and received 1500+, but that was for the old version (1600). If you think you’re doing well in the blue CollegeBoard book, then go for it. Otherwise, I would wait.

Yeah but if you take it once… IS that it you cant ever retake it to improve your scores? Sorry I know these questions are probably stupid but I don’t know

Deep1r562… I honestly have no idea what you just asked… that is one awful set of incoherent jibberish. I’m gonna go out on a limb and assume that you asked if it is possible to retake the test. Yes, it is very possible, and I recommend you do so if your scores are less tha satisfactory. I believe most colleges ( excpet UCs) actually look at your best composite score. Personally I would have taken the SAT in sophmore year had I known it existed ( I’m an international), that way I could have concentrated this year solely on my SAT IIs. So, I would recommend you take the test this year. Good luck with your testing.

This is off topic, but incoherent gibberish is a really harsh way to put it.

“Yeah but if you take it once… IS that it you cant ever retake it to improve your scores? Sorry I know these questions are probably stupid but I don’t know”

Just insert a comma . . .

“Yeah but if you take it once… IS that it, you cant ever retake it to improve your scores? Sorry I know these questions are probably stupid but I don’t know”

And it’s fine.

Of course you can retake the SAT. You can take it 4 or 5 times if you want, even more, although with more than 3 sittings without major score improvements the admissions folks are going to wonder why you keep taking it…

murasaki…I know, lol. I was pretty harsh. I was really upset because I had just had a fight with my GF.I shouldn’t have taken it out on Deep.Sorry dude. ;)
