Should my son write SAT again?

My son wrote SAT (first and only time) in Oct, 2014 at the beginning of his junior year and got 2330 with a 770 in Math.
He just wrote Math2 in June, 2015 and got an 800. He has very good GPA (around 4.7 weighted) and ECs and has set his sights high (MIT, CMU CS, UCB, Stanford etc.).

Question is, should he re-write SAT and try to get 800 in Math as well?

BTW, He had 7 APs in Junior and has 7 more in Senior year. Expects 5s in all Junior APs.

High Honor Roll, NHS, accepted to Columbia SHP during Senior year.

Really appreciate any guidance and thanks in advance.

No need to. 2330 is already an excellent score.

Thanks so much for your response.

Your son’s SAT score is in the 99th percentile and is generally viewed as pretty much equivalent to achieving a perfect score, so retaking the test would be futile. 770 in SAT math 1 is still very good; even so, your son demonstrates his exemplary math skills through his SAT math 2 score. So in other words, don’t waste the money, time, and stress by retaking the SAT.

Agreed. There’s no real difference in math knowledge between a 770 and an 800 on SAT-1, and your son has demonstrated strong math skills elsewhere. Move on to bigger and better things! Best of luck!

Sorry for the late response. I am grateful for your responses.
