Should veteran submit SAT score?

I’m a veteran who’s been out of school for 5 years. Having just completed my first semester of college, I plan to apply to USC for next year.

USC Says: “USC does not require a minimum number of transfer units. If you have earned fewer than 30 transferable units, we will base our decision primarily on your high school record and SAT or ACT scores.”

Taking that into consideration, my current college GPA is about a 3.9 but I didn’t do very well in high school. I don’t plan to transfer until I have at least 30 credits though. So I’m wondering if it would hurt me to not include an SAT score. I’ll go take it if I have to, but I’d rather not waste $50 or whatever it is.

If you think you’ll do very well on it, then $50 is worth it for the “insurance”. If you’re currently doing well in school though, and you’ve been out of high school for that long, I don’t think it will reflect badly on you.

You may want to get in touch with the USC Office of Veterans Affairs. I’m sure they would be able to assist you. [USC ARR : Veterans Affairs](http://www.usc.edu/dept/ARR/veteransaffairs/)
