Hi, My son applied EA to most schools so did not submit Fall grades. He did really well and his GPA went up a smidge: 3.7 to 3.8. I feel like some schools increase merit aid substantially at that 3.8 point. If the schools do not request the grades, should we send them anyway? and to who? The admissions counselor? I can reach out to them to ask but they won’t be back from break for a bit so though you guys might have opinions. Thanks!
The parent should not reach out to admissions about this.
Have you S check each school’s portal, it should be clear if the school accepts updates, and if so, how to send them. Your S can also ask his HS counselor to send official grade updates, even if not required. Lastly, some schools won’t consider first semester scores, in that case, I would not recommend sending an update.

Has he already been accepted? Mine had late EA release dates, so she did update her grades as they went up and she was admitted into another honor society.
