Should white supremacist groups be hunted down like al-Qaeda?

<p>There have already been a couple, albeit pathetic, attempts on Obama’s life. While most presidents face constant danger, the level of potential violence against Obama is probably unprecedented in American history. In the event that there is a smoking gun incident that undeniably links white supremacist groups to a serious threat on Obama’s life, should the KKK and other like-minded organizations be hunted down, arrested, and possibly killed like al-Qaeda and other terrorist cells?</p>

<p>My answer is yes. Groups that actively try to assassinate a country’s president are obviously terrorist in nature and need to be engaged as such, as defined by the objectives of the War on Terror.</p>

<p>I visited the white supremacist forums mentioned in the video. stormfront.org Absolutely appalling. Absolutely horrible. I cannot believe that people like this exist! Blatant ignorance and racism left and right… I’m just sickened right now.</p>

<p>Their line of thinking and reasoning is really no different from Nazi’s, Al Qaeda, or whatever, only we seem to think white supremacist groups are exercising “free speech”. Too bad too, cuz there’s nothing we can really do about it.</p>
