My aim is HAAS. I have attended two community colleges, in one of them I received “C” in Microecon class(which is prereq for HAAS) and dramatically lowered my chances to be accepted. So I’m thinking not to show this college at all on my transcripts to HAAS, but to take Microecon in another CC, where I have almost all my credits from. Does anyone heard about such cases? Will it work with HAAS (will they find out all schools I have attended)?
Or probably someone had experience of retaking course, where they originally had “C”???
Appreciate all answers and shared experiences!

Not listing colleges is a risky idea. They might not find the error, but you will be in jeopardy from that point onwards. If it comes out at some point during your schooling you could be expelled or, farther down the line, you could have your degree rescinded.

You should check with the school which gave you the “C” grade and see if they allow academic renewal. You would have to disregard all classes that you took that semester/quarter, but they won’t be a factor in determining your eligibility and will free you up to retake the course. BUT… some schools don’t allow it, or allow it only if you received a “D” or “F” grade. You’ll need to look at the school catalog or speak with one of their counselors.

dont ever do that in ur life, UC will find out when they using the cleaning house system and they will have all ur academic record. u will be rescind. several ppl in this forum had experienced their admission revoked becux UC had found out the error on their academic record.

Yeah thats a stupid idea. Doing that could potentially ruin your life and then you will be stuck at Dominguez Hills… who knows, you may score a job as a janitor after graduation.

But seriously, don’t do it.

what is the cleaning house system? how do they even check when there are so many CCs.

I forgot the excat name but UC will just typically use ur social security number and the cleaning house system will reveal all ur class u took from every single college.

Thanks for answers!and preventing me from this idea!
However I have another question (probably I need to create a new thread, or if you could refer me to the existing one). So the CC already let me to retake the course. But here comes my confusion: which grade HAAS will take(the first or the last). I mean, does it make any sense to retake the course???

Since it was a C, not a D or F, they will take the first grade, the C.

guys…isnt it called the clearinghouse system? hahahahahaahaha

well, what if you attended foreign colleges and did not do well? Chances of covering the ugly history up by not reporting? hehe.

anyway, stay honest! If you show them your potential and strength, even with a C you will still have a shot at getting in your dream school, do not cheat anybody, you might regret for the rest of your life. Good luck.

First of all, it’s called the National Student Clearinghouse, google that and you’ll get to their website.
Second, that system WILL NOT reveal the classes you have taken. It will, however, show the CC’s that you have attended. The UC’s will check the info you have submitted against what’s on the clearinghouse system. All they need is your name and/or birth date, and social security number.
