Siblings and EFC

<p>S is a HS Senior, with MIT as his dream school. He has good grades, scores and personality, so I guess he has a decent chance of getting accepted (i.e. it’s unlikely, but not impossible).</p>

<p>D is a HS Junior, so will be going to undergraduate college (not MIT) for 3 overlapping years.</p>

<p>Does anyone have experience about how MIT handles the EFC in this situation? In the overlapping years, does it get divided between the 2 of them ?</p>

<p>MIT does take that into consideration. When my D was a freshman, her brother was a senior in another college. I remember somewhere in the financial package that my D received, there was mentioning of this being a considered factor.</p>
