sick of staying up at night worrying if...

Hola!

College List (as of now…)
U. Chicago (EA)
George Washington U (6 yr BA/JD)
American U
Stanford U
Georgetown U
Brown U
University of TX
Columbia U

Please reply, amigos!

Before scrolling down to your list, I was thinking that U Chicago was your ideal school. Good choice. The rest of your list is good, also. You have enough schools that you are sure to be accepted at. I expect that you will get the EA at Chicago. Is it UT-Austin that you are applying to? And are you sure that you can afford these private schools- most of them give aid only based on very low family income, and none of the ones listed are known for great merit aid, if at all. (Chicago does give some.)

Thanks! And, though cost is a moderate concern, I’ll graduate with about 70 hrs of college credit - some of which will transfer, and thus make the financial burden a little easier to bear. So, I am not letting cost play into my decision much.

And yes, it is UT Austin.

anyone else have anything?..

2 of your articles were on the front page of your high school paper…lol

Stanford is a HUGE reach. Brown and Columbia are also reaches, especially if you’re applying to PLME at Brown. And SFS at Georgetown is also killer, big reach.

American will take you. And I don’t know enough about the 6yr med program at GW to comment.

Side Note: Learn to organize your ECs better on your application. Omit the ‘almosts’ and ‘also rans’. And Cultural Club sounds like nonsense.

Its a 6 year BA/JD program - not BA/MD.

And thanks!

also… i considered this to be a bit more informal than my resume/apps, so i didnt really attach any real attention/significance to grammar/organization.

and its not actually called cultural club… i kinda normalized it on here for simplicity’s sake.

just curious… where did u take all the college courses?

Its through my school. Its an early entrance program where we finish our last two years of high school and our first two years of undergrad concurrently. We live on the University of North TX campus - thats where the credit is from. I don’t really expect a lot of it to transfer, but graduates going to CHYMPS, etc. usually get 20-30 hours.

TAMS…lol ya i thought so. I live in Texas too. I applied as a freshman just for the heck of it and got in. BUt i decided not to go a year early. I will most probably be going after 10th grade

Do u mind if I PM u stuff about TAMS, so that when I go I will be more prepared? For example, like can I PM u stuff about researching at TAMS?

what was the last math course that u took?

Hmm… haha i dont know what PMing is, but I’d be more than happy to talk to you about TAMS. I’m actually “researching” right now… thank God research requires a comp, eh? The last math course I took was Cal I (sorry… no diff equations for me or anything haha… math isnt my favorite thing), and I’m taking cal II in the fall. my aim is CENSORED FOR FEAR OF RAPISTS if you want to aim me, or EMAIL CENSORD B/C FOR FEAR OF RAPISTS!So you’re gonna apply again this year?.. hmm maybe ill get to interview you haha

and maybe you could reply to this and let me know that you got it?.. preferably in the next few minutes so i can take my contact info off haha

lol ya i got it. Thanks. Well, actually since i got in as a freshman, the director of admissions said that I wouldn’t have to apply again. I will be automatically accepted for next year.

oh and PM stands for private message. If u click on some1’s username like to the left of their post you can choose to send a private message.

ooh i see. congrats on getting in, then! awww, you’re my grandjunior! lol. hmm maybe PM/aim me later today?.. i’m meeting w/ my research prof tomorrow… and im a bit behind (as illustrated by my prescence on a forum…)

Anybody else wanna throw out what chances you think I have???..

Anybody?.. Anything?.. Please lol?..
