The Siemens Awards for Advanced Placement are awarded each year to students with the greatest number of scores of 5 on AP exams taken in grades 9, 10 and 11 </p>

<p>I was wondering if anyone knows if the finalists for this scholarship have generally taken and received 5’s on all 8 of these tests, or if there’s a estimation of what the average usually is.</p>

<p>There are only 8, and not particularly difficult tests, so there are people out there that would definitely get 5’s.</p>

<p>the real question is…does 7 of the 8 (5s of course) get you a state scholar prize in NY?</p>

<p>wow I find it hard to believe that anyone could take ALL EIGHT…eh its NY oh well</p>

<p>Anyone know how hard Comp Sci AB is? I took A because I was an idiot, and found it extremely easy.</p>

<p>I’m taking A this upcoming year because that’s all they offer at my school. I was looking at the marine biology case study on collegeboard and they said that instead of doing chapters 1-4, you would do 1-5 in AB.</p>

    And, he got 5s in all of them.</p>

<p>Thanks, I was mainly curious about wehther the recipients usually take ALL 8 of the APs, or if a lower number might still have a chance. I guess it does differ a lot depending on the state.</p>

<p>Oh and several of my friends who took CS AB said it was very hard.</p>

<p>Bio and E&M next year. I could have done all of these had I known about this freshman year.</p>

<p>does being a girl help also? b/c i know fewer girls take physics C, comp sci (which sounds absolutely boring, no offense).</p>
