<p>In terms of “region”, unlike other science fairs, Siemens judges your research paper against those submitted by students from all around the country. Hope that helped :)</p>

<p>No, only from around the United States (which I think is more fair to students from more competitive areas like California and New York than science fairs conducted on a regional representative basis). The competition opens to U.S. citizens or permanent residents.</p>
