*sigh* I'm screwed

I know a guy who got into Oxford, but was rejected from his local community college

No need to mock.

haha, you’re right

wow, do you always have some kind of ridiculous joke or actually have valid responses once in awhile?

If i committed to the latter, would i be cooler in your eyes?

E^2, you lighten up the mood…! And you are usually quite good at it. I just hate when you try too hard =P. But, honestly, you’re cool as you are.

haha, why thank you

Zoltar knows!

neobonzi: Just don’t provoke him. He’ll spam every thread on the board, but if no one responded, there’d only be half the spam.

neobonzi: i got rejected by UCLA but still got into WashU, so dont worry too much, UCs are picky.

You should listen to neverborn, neobonzi…He has been in your shoes (of disliking me) many times before. He has ignoring me down to an art.

I was rejected from UCLA too. “sigh”, but i did get into ucsb. *yay"

ob la dee ob la da life goes on

UCLA wasn’t really that hard to get into

i bet that makes you feel real good about yourself, eh? deviouspisces, eh…

i only meant that I know a lot of people who got in this year who didn’t really have great stats

Your GPA is what kills your chance for UCSD whose admission is based on a formula that weights GPA very heavily (much more so than standardized tests); they also don’t really care much about your ECs/essay. Bottom line is if you have high GPA and high test scores, UCSD would be a lot easier to get in than UChicago; but if you have a relatively low GPA because of a bad sophomore year but strong ECs/essay/recommediation, you may have a better chance at UChicago.

Has anyone noticed that he’s Mexican? This will give him a big boost at UChicago. You have to remember that the UC’s don’t use Affirmative Action, so his resume at UChicago is much stronger than at UCSD, meaning that there’s still a chance.
