Alright, I think I finally found a school I can afford with a choking debt. The school sent me a scholarship letter saying they would give me 4k a year as long as I keep my grades up and all that jazz. I signed the scholarship letter and sent it back as they asked (the school said if I ended up unable to afford to attend, no harm done.) Anyway, I received my award letter today.

The school costs about 10k a year not including books and my personal expenses. The letter included Work-Study, the usual Stafford, and to my surprise a smaller Perkins (I’ll try to save this summer and knock off more of the stafford but keep the Perkins for the lower interest rate and better grace period…if that makes sense…) but did not include my scholarship. I called the school and they said I’ll probably get another letter that includes it when they’re finally done with scholarship stuff. However, I’m hesitant to sign this copy when it isn’t correct, because it says they want it back within two weeks. I’m afraid if I sign it and send it back without the scholarship included, it’ll be somehow left out and I’d have accepted this inaccurate package. Any advice?
