Signing up for classes

I’m an IEOR major and I want to enroll in the following classes:

Math 53
Chem 1A
Physics 7A
Asian American Studies R2A (or another R&C class)
IEOR 24

Which classes should I sign up for Phase I? I have up to 10.5 units so I want to do two out of: math, chem, and physics, as well as IEOR 24. Math 53 has the most open spaces right now, but it is probably the course I want to take the most, so do you think it will be filled by Phase II, or should I sign up for that one first?

Also, what’s the likeliness of getting enrolled off a waitlist for a Chem lab?

Any help is appreciated.

Chem 1A would be a good option, considering that it’s already filling up REALLY fast, as I’m sure you realised… Argh… the penalties of signing up late…

And you can sign up for IEOR 24 first…

That would account for 5 units… So sign up for Math 53… you don’t want to wait until Phase II to sign up for classes which are bound to fill up fast…

I could be wrong though in this advice… 'coz even I haven’t finished Phase I yet…

i heard its not advisable to take two science courses at the same term. Plus, you are taking Math 53…

I took multivariable calc my senior year and got an A+, and got a 5 on my Physics AP exam so I think math and physics are review, more or less

hehe I’m not all that worried (maybe I should be)…

but how quickly does math 53 typically fill up? should I wait till phase II to sign up for it?
