Signing up for classes

I know a lot of people who have already signed up for classes or at least seen what classes are available for them to take. So I was wondering when the '10s start choosing classes to take.

I’m pretty sure we don’t choose our classes until we get to Hanover for orientation, but there is a student assembly site that lists courses given in the past with reviews for the professors, etc. The site is http://sa.dartmouth.edu/guide/

You have to sign in with your blitz account. If you haven’t gotten that yet, just enter your firstname middleinitial. lastname in the name part and the last eight digits of your social security number. Also, you can look in the first year book to see what courses first years generally take. This is just the information I’ve gathered or learned from other '10s or other Dartmouth students.

10’s will register for classes during orientation.

for what is being offered go to this link:

http://oracle-www.dartmouth.edu/dart/groucho/timetable.main

you can either look by subject area or general education requirements (distribution requirement)

go to fall 06

select course or distibution requirment

you will see what classes are given, who is teaching and the enrollment class size and number of students already enrolled.

If link does not work, do this :

registrar
courses
timetable or courses
class of 08 and beyond
you can either look by subject area or general education requirements (distribution requirement)

then

go to fall 06

select course or distibution requirment

you will see what classes are given, who is teaching and the enrollment class size and number of students already enrolled.

How are there students already enrolled in classes?

I don’t think any '10s are already signed up. I think people from other colleges might be.

there are upperclassmen at the school.

these students registered for class during the spring term ;)

All '10’s choose classes during orientation… don’t worry about it anxious folks. And people are already signed up for classes because upperclassmen get first dibs. Don’t worry though there are spaces specially reserved for freshman so there should be no problem getting into the class you want to take.
