Signing up for Foreign language classes Second pass-overenrollment risk?

I’m currently taking foreign language and am planning on enrolling second pass so I can use first pass for upper divs. However, Im worried about the class being full and since language classes are cumulative, this could cause a problem as the next time the class may be offered could be next year.

Has anyone had any problems with this? (i.e. class being full and being denied enrollment)?

which language are we talking about? If its Spanish, I would sign up first pass…Spanish 3 looks like its already filling with athletes/regent scholars and its not even 1st pass yet. they also offer language classes over summer (though its expensive)

Nope, its Korean. So far no one has signed up yet so it seems to be pretty safe. Also, I have senior standing so that should help, right?

you could always ask your current instructor how full the class has been in the past.

This might help. From Spring 2011:
