Silliest reason your kid didn't like a college - not a deal breaker, but funny

I know what you mean. My mom refuses to to go on vacation to NYC because she’s afraid we’ll get mugged or something. Darn those convincing Law & Orders!

haha the only lol i got was when someone said williams college was too urban…on my drive over there i saw an untethered goat perusing someones front lawn…
here are the schools i looked at and said no to. most seem pretty decent to me though so this wont be funny or anything:
colgate-too preppy/full of themselves
middlebury-too much english/nature
bowdoin-too much biology
williams-doesnt feel right
william and mary-5 min from dads house
amherst-never visited…just never made the time for the 45 min drive
u chicago-its too late to look at colleges. my list of schools im applying to is set. (realized i liked it after doing most of my research)
harvey mudd-same
all the ivies-too cliche

i applied to: uva rodman, grinnell, tufts, pomona, union, james madison, and california lutheran

this girl’s name was Marta and she didn’t like that the public transportation system in Atlanta was called MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Regional Tranportation Authority).

And she didn’t like the posters everywhere that said, “Take a Ride on Marta.”

The dealbreaker was a Help Wanted Ad, “MARTA has an opening for 2 engineers.”

oh man, I don’t blaim her at alll

That’s funny about the AFA’s uniforms–that’s why my dd turned down her appointment there! Well, actually there were several reasons, the biggest is that she had a lot more options coming out of USNA, but we still tease her about the bus driver hats at AFA…
