Silly question - need an answer from a current Duke student

<p>Is there a place to store big items that won’t fit in a car, like a frig over the summer? We are debating whether to purchase a frig or rent one. The purchase is a better buy, but what about the summer?</p>

<p>My D says there are two UPS places near campus ( walking distance from east and west) that will store things.</p>

I’m a current student, and there are plenty of self-storage places not too far from campus where your son or daughter can store big items, like refrigerators, over the summer. Many of my peers rent a storage unit with their friends and split the costs so it is cheaper. Hope this answers your question.</p>

<p>I’d split the cost of a storage unit over the summer with a few fellow students. I think I split with 3 people one summer and it was ~$40 total per person.</p>
