Silver Cloud with a Grey Lining?

I took the ACT in December. It was my first time, and I did no practicing or preparing, so I didn’t expect much. I finished the test with quite a bit of confidence, but seeing posts on this site made me doubt myself.

Here are my scores:
English - 36
Math - 33
Reading - 36
Science - 35
Composite - 35

I was amazed. My family and friends were amazed. I must’ve made a mistake by not taking the writing portion of the test. Should I take the whole test again just to try for a good score on the writing? I’m worried that top schools won’t accept the ACT without writing score.

What are your thoughts?

You will need to either take the SAT (and subject tests) or the ACT with writing for admissions to the “top” schools.

With some prep, you should be able to get your math up too.

Good luck.

Now that’s awesome! I would definitely take the writing test to go to the top tier schools. Also, like crazymomster suggested, improve your math. You only need two 36’s and two 35’s to get a composite of 36. I’m jealous and happy for you, though!
