Silver Scholars Acceptance?

Hey guys, I’m totally new here and I figured I could get some guidance as to what my chances are to get in Yale’s Silver Scholars program.

So here are my stats:

Cumulative GPA: 3.85
Major: Communication/Mathematics
GMAT: 722
Extracurriculars: Worked at the school’s newspaper for two years and directed two of my very own issues and had a column my freshman year of college. I have also volunteered a lot at: hospitals, churches, temples, public libraries and homeless shelters and have about 160-something hours in community service.

I’ve maintained two jobs at a time and I am now currently working at Chase Bank, part time. I’m bilingual and speak Spanish and English and quite a bit of French.

Anyway, am I completely insane here for applying to Yale’s Silver Scholar’s program? Does anybody think I have any slight chance of getting in?

I know they look for people that have been leaders and stuff…I’m not sure I necessarily have “leadership” experience, but I have been very active during my college years. I’m a little worried about my transcript because it’s not 100% perfect. I messed up my freshman year and my gpa wasn’t so great, but obviously i’ve improved and I’ve been getting straight A’s since…

So, could I get in?

Have you graduated yet? I think you need to be a current senior to apply.
