<p>What are some other East-coast schools of the same caliber as NW that are in a <em>big city</em> or within 30 min. of one?</p>
<p>I mean, below the Harvard-MIT-Columbia “level”</p>
<p>but above the NYU “level”</p>
<p>All I can think of is U of Chicago, Georgetown, and Swarthmore (tho a bit on the high side)</p>
<p>These may meet some of your criteria; the first 3 are located near major cities.</p>

Tufts
Brandeis
Rochester</p>
<p>UPenn, Washington University of St. Louis, Emory, Vanderbilt(Nashville isnt that big though)</p>
<p>Those are all in between Harvard and NYU. If you dont like the south emory and vandy wouldnt be good though, there’s also rice in houston. Chicago isnt even on the east coast. The only big cities would be nyc, philly, and maybe boston but boston’s not that big just a college town. Just think of a city you’d want to be near and then a college near it. If you know all the cities you like then it shouldnt be hard.</p>
