Go to another school. What are some of the other schools you applied to? What is the breakdown they awarded you?

the other schools are suffolk and wentworth.

federal pell grant
estimated mass state grant
federal SEOG grant
US direct subsidized stafford loan
simmons grant (SEOG)
john simmons grant

yumichicken,

It looks like the Simmons package left you with $34,572 to pay. That is simply unaffordable. Take it off your list, and look at your other options. Here is a calculator that will help you compare all of your aid packages: [FinAid | Calculators | Advanced Award Letter Comparison Tool](<a href=“Your Guide for College Financial Aid - Finaid”>Your Guide for College Financial Aid - Finaid)

Wishing you all the best!

None of those colleges guarantee to meet full need, which, at an EFC of zero, you would need to be able to afford a private college.

Do you have any financial safeties, such as your in-state public universities?

i applied to umass boston last minute… that will be the only school i can afford?

Probably. Unless your other two schools give you much better financial aid packages.

The vast majority of us go to public universities. Without significant merit or need-based aid, private colleges are generally unaffordable for the working and middle class.

Thank you!
