Simple Orientation Question

Ok I tried searching the forums, and i just have a simple question

If the orientation date says june 1-3

does this mean

Check in at 7pm on the first
Full day on the 2nd
and then over by 1pm on the third

Thank you

I just want to make sure I Understood the website correctly

You are correct - that is how it works.

The days are busy and long…but very stimulating.

Yeah, I am really excited for it. I just am trying to figure out my schedule. My graduation is may 29th and then out of state summer job for 2 months around june 10th.

I need to get everything settled down before I leave

What do you want to study? Have you seen the [course maps](http://www.academic-guide.fsu.edu/)?

Yes thank you, I have seen those.

I am going undeclared with a business intent, hopefully majoring in Human resources or Business Administration

Ill have to figure out what classes to sign up for, Unfortunately I wont have my AP calc results back by orientation time, so i wont be completly sure what math i need to sign up for.

With regard to AP math, you have the option to decline the AP credit if you pass with a “3” or better. It may be an advantage to start out with an easier math.

My D1 passed AP Calc AB and walked straight into Honors Calc II at FSU her first semester with a full professor. She was terrified at first (and of course the prof told everyone that about half are expected to flunk the course) but quickly adapted and loved both the course and the professor. He was excellent as a teacher and passionate about mathematics.

If this describes how you react and learn, it may be the ticket to a very enjoyable experience.

What was her major?

Because The highest math I need is Calculus and like stats and stuff. So i wont need Calc 2 or anything. So thats why I dont know what math to sign up for. Maybe ill sign up for Stats since I will need that regardless.

Biochemistry. She’s now enrolled at FSU Med.

And for the other thread that asked the question about FSU vs UF - she and my D2 both turned UF down to attend Florida State. But that’s just them.

I suppose you’ve seen Florida State’s rankings in business and elsewhere?

O ok, thanks

Yeah my friends and I who are going to FSU are turning down UF. Im just doing my research to make the best decision possible for myself.

Great. That’s exactly what you should do. It is very individualistic.

P.S. I’m an FSU grad but my dad attended UF for grad school. It’s common.
