simple question

Where do we mail our application fee?

I looked everywhere on the site and cannot find a mailing address.

it’s just the office of undergrad admissions

That simple, huh? LOL I feel stupid.

Another question… when JHU says they recommend 3 SAT lls, is that just a recommendation or almost a requirement? Do people get in with just 2 SAT llS? Or would sending just 2 be almost a automatic rejection?

*I already sent out my test scores so If I want to send in my third score I would have to rush them but JHU specifies to not rush so they would be in late.

Thank you!

do u need the actual address?

i believe it’s just a recommendation, if ur 2 sat 2’s are strong, that should be good.

my 2 sat iis were terrible
and i got in. dont worry about it too much

got in where? what did u get?

uhh this is the jhu forum is it not?
i got in jhu with terrible sat ii’s

yeah it is, what were ur scores? how did u know u got in before u sent in the app fee?

i didnt post the initial question
680 and 660

I have a question for anyone that knows:

I was reading through a JHU informational guide, and they say that only about 20 to 25 students declare chemistry as their major (per year I’m guessing). Consequently, they have access to top-notch research facilities, etc. Does this mean that becoming a chemistry major is uber difficult or is it typical of a smaller-sized school like JHU to have a mere 20 to 25 undergrads majoring in chemistry?

I’m a prospective chemistry-majoring student applying to JHU for the RD round and was wondering whether it would make a difference whether I put chemistry down as my prospective major or not.

Any ideas? Thanks

I only took 1 SATII and I got in. I was told it was not neccesary to take more than one. I got an 800… US history, but I’m convinced it didn’t make a difference.

Once again, the major you put down, save BME, does NOT affect your chances of getting in. So putting down a chemistry major will have no influence on your decision.

For SAT II’s, I got in with 700/730/750

wow lots of random questions on this thread – ironic that it is titled “simple question”. here goes…

(1) send all materials (including app. fee made payable to Johns Hopkins University) to:

Application Coordinator
Office of Undergraduate Admissions
Johns Hopkins University
140 Garland Hall
3400 N. Charles Street
Baltimore, MD 21218

If just sending the application fee you should include the Application Fee Attachment form: http://apply.jhu.edu/pdf/2006/application_fee_attachment.pdf

(2) The SAT II policy clearly states RECOMMENDED – therefore they are not required. Applicants have and will get in sending 0,1,2,3,4 or more SAT II exams. They matter but are not required.

(3) mkeung answered the chemistry question perfectly:
“Once again, the major you put down, save BME, does NOT affect your chances of getting in. So putting down a chemistry major will have no influence on your decision.”

Love those SIMPLE QUESTIONS.

laxfan, is 20-25 students in a major common? I thought chemistry would be more popular than that, especially at JHU.

I actually have no idea where you got that number – the chemistry department is larger than 80-100 students (4 years x 20-25 students).
