Hey guys…basically anyone who fills out the commonapp and can afford the fee can apply to Yale! I just think that’s sorta funny considering basically any other Ivy where they actually have their own real supplementals. Anyways, my point is that Yale has made it so easy for someone to apply to their university that random people who aren’t even remotely qualified (but who wonder how high they can shoot) and are rich, fill out what seems to be one simple form and apply. Yale must be making a ton of money off of this.

right. because your $70 makes a difference in the $15 billion that yale has. jeez. maybe they’re making it easy so that more people have the opportunity to apply and the applicant pool isnt limited to priveleged rich kids.

your coment belies a lack in knowledge of how admissions works, and a real propensity to believe in ridiculous conspiracy theories.

That’s also why their admissions rate is like 10%. Do you really think that 100% of applicants are even close to being qualified? My guess would be about 75%.

gee, and have you seen the harvard app? it’s just about the same. and the dartmouth app? or the cornell app?

Columbia’s is really easy too…they only have one essay and you can write about anything you want.

I remember hearing at a Yale admissions talk that 80% of applicants are qualified, so good guess theoneo.

Yale’s application was just very…open. You could basically write about whatever you wanted. I guess that’s why no one really knows what it takes to get in.

It’s a sign, I tell you! A sign!

Crosses fingers!
