Simply Curious - Really early college letter

I was sitting here, thinking back till about 7years ago when i was in the fourth grade, keep in mind i have 2 older siblings; I went to check the mail and found a Letter from Kettering University with my name on it. At the time i was only 9 so i didn’t fully understand what “Kettering University was” I asked my mom and she said, “Its a High Quality School, you have to be really smart to get into it”. And ever since then I’ve been wondering why they would send a letter to a 9 year old, and not the older siblings.

Wee you in any type of talent search? But even then, it would be odd at that age (my younger D received a few after her 6th grade SAT through CTY).

Strange things happen with mailing lists - my older D, who will graduate from Purdue this spring, received an email from CMU yesterday inviting her to undergrad info sessions.
