<p>We are heading to Aruba in a few weeks. Any suggestions for good restaurants or things to do? We already have our accommodations in the Marriott Surf Club. Also, do we need a car?</p>
<p>We love Aruba. Restaurants; Madam Jeanette’s, Chalet Suisse, Smokey Joe’s, Amazonia, … Things to do; De Palm Island for snorkeling, and visit the Alta Vista Chapel.</p>

<p>We have been to Aruba six times. We own a week at the Ocean Club. We always rent a car in part because my wife is not one to sit on the beach for hours at at a time. I am. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the Surf Club. You could rent for a few days to drive around the island and do some food shopping. Otherwise you can take taxis to go to the restaurants that aren’t within a walkable distance.</p>
<p>Thanks for the recommendations. We were leaning to renting the car for a day or 2 and that sounds like a good plan now. We will certainly try some of those restaurants.</p>
<p>My family loved the island jeep tour. I would suggested the restaurants we went to, but it was 10 years ago and I have no memory of where we went other than they were very good!</p>
