Since we're talking cosmetics

How about best concealer? I have these puffy undereyes that are dark. They leave a deep ridge under the eye. How do I conceal this?

One of the most popular under eye concealers for dark circles is YSL Touche Eclat.

I know that Bobby Brown makes a good under eye concealer. I think it is called the creamy concealer.

Ask the person at the counter if you should go lighter or darker than your foundation color for puffy under eye issues. I have heard that you should go darker for puffy eye issues and lighter for recessed under eye issues.

Also using a finishing powder is necessary to set in the concealer.

I have had heavy dark circles all my life and found no satisfactory solution until I tried Benefit’s “Boing Industrial Strength” concealer (the name says it all). It’s carried at Sephora and can be purchased from their online store.

Also from Sephora:

Works well for me.

I have found the creme concealer made by Laura Mercier works for me. It should be applied using a brush (they sell those). Also, whatever concealer you use make sure you apply it way in the inner corner under your eye. It makes a difference.

Second Bobbi Brown.

As I’ve posted on other lotion/make-up threads, I think if there were really a magic bullet we’d all know about it. I have read great reviews of YSL Touche Eclat so bought some but don’t find it any better than other brands. In fact, I think I prefer the creamier ones (YSL T E is fairly liquid). Currently using a Bobbi Brown, but I’m not wedded to it.

Garnier Under Eye Roller. Saved my life.

Do all of these concealers work well without using foundation (which I don’t wear)?

I use Bobbi Brown and use two different ones and then a finishing powder to seal it.

My dark circles are very noticable. I use the Dermablend concealer (liquid comes in tube). It’s available at Ulta & Dillards and works great.

I tried Bobbi Brown and looked like Bettie Davis in “What Happened to Baby Jane”–it caught in fine lines I never knew I had (and I was under 50 at the time). Not a good look. Contrary to the old post above, the really good Yves St. Laurent concealer is actually Anti-Cernes. The Touche Eclat is really a highlighter, not a concealer. The YSL does not crease in fine lines, and actually helps moisturize. I also use Revision Teamine undereye cream, which has helped tremendously with my genetically dark circles.
