I had a phone on my Visor till it broke. It was hard to hear people on it so now I just have the cheapest cellphone that came with the plan. However, I’m replacing it soon - I hope with a clamshell because it’s always dialing numbers from being banged around in my purse. DH has a Treo, it’s tempting. I just have never been good about actually using any kind of organizer. I wish I could get into the habit though.

mootmom, of course you can stay-- it’s just that from now on the 2nd-to-the-back booth will be designated as tech support-- from mootmom to the rest of us.

I managed to select a ring tone today. It only took me about an hour.

However, I am still stumped by texting program changes (no longer T9word) so now I do not know what button to push to advance the default text word to the other option words… like to change “on” to “no”… It must be obvious to everyone but me because it is not even covered in the owner’s manual!!

Help appreciated.

Oh and if there’s any proofreading or speechwriting I can do for you just let me know!

Oik. I am a user experience person. I love the hardware on the Razor precisely because I no longer have nightmares about being able to punch the correct numbers with my fingers. However, the software still sucks. People still haven’t figured out that it’s no fair to have Select, Options and Call all perform different functions at different times.

Rant over. You will find me in the booth with Mootie.

Say, what???

bit of a rescue…

GORGEOUS day today in my 'hood. Preview of summer! Yay for summer!

mootmom–You’re such an overachiever! Ppppbbbt.

We know it’s getting to be summer cause the kids are coming home!!! One on Thursday here, the other on Saturday.

User experience is the fancy word for the theory behind user interface design.

Google the term.

Yes ma’am.

Right after you google parametric modelling.

Mootie and Alu,

Can I join you in the back? I set my ringtones up to point to MP3 files. W’s ringtone is Queen’s “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.”

Working for a cell phone company for 15 years probably helps…

Belated bday wishes to JMmom. How long have you been there in Mexico and do you plan to return to the Northeast soon? Hope your day was grand.

D returns for post freshman year summer at home tomorrow. Suspect it will be the last summer she spends with us…

S just called- he is getting on the plane in 1/2 hr. Will pick him up in about 2 1/2 hrs. Now I understand how my parents felt when I came home for a visit. The visit will be brief, but much anticipated. Someone pour me a mimosa, please.

jmmom is stateside and has been since 3/1. Arrived in the Northeast just in time for blizzards (at least two) and the Storm of 2007. Poor timing on my part, but keeping my business alive requires it. Or so I think.

DH otoh is wending his way eastward as we speak, picking up DS along the way. Anyone want to help with the grocery shopping, housecleaning and general adjustment from single self-absorbed existence to Member of the Family?

m&s, you never know. We though that last summer but we’re getting a bonus summer this summer too!! BE NICE-- and you never know!!

D signed a 12 month lease, beginning in August. She has always been the independent sort. Should be an interesting summer, as long as we keep the reins loose.

Georgeous day here.

Back to page one!

Loose reins: exactly. Loose reins, & booze for the parents.

It will be a good summer.

Why do you want me to google parametric modeling? Googling is just the best way to find out because otherwise I’d have to write SO many words… Guess it sounded like I was barking an order.

Last day of trade show hell. Three shows in two weeks. Argh. And only bad red and white wine to drink in little bitty glasses. Since I’m in the Alley, just give me my own bottle of some fabulous merlot or other:).

Trade shows call for stiffer stuff. IMHO. Never having done a trade show. But just imagining…

Underclass awards night at the HS. Son #4 upheld the family honor with a couple of awards.

Curiously, in this select group were included two other immediate neighbors. We decided it was something in the water. :D

If we could bottle it we could sell it as an academic performance-enhancer!

Yay, mommusic! Maybe you should bottle some of your water and sell it on ebay!!! (You might add that Elvis drank some, too, to bump up the value!)

hey m&s,

will you have to go back to move the red table?

^^^^ hahahaha such a good question!
