Sinner's Alley Happy Hour (Part 1)

At least six inches of snow here. Can’t wait until my business trip to San Diego in March!

My H remarked on the number of people absent from his office today, and on where they are. Business trips to San Diego, San Francisco…we are both jealous.

LIMOMOF2: Kids and dogs have tramped through the (not very deep) snow to create areas of white and light brown. Actually, creamsicle would be an improvement.

Just ice coming down here for the past few hours – popsicles maybe.

When I read about the heat in the Bay area, I checked my own thermometer- 57 a 10 degree improvement on yesterday- thanks, CC, I realized it was warm enough for a beach walk and took an afternoon break to appreciate a rare warm wintery sunny day.

It was toasty 50 degrees here north of Seattle. Time for something refreshing, like an ice-cold Corona with a huge slice of lime.

mommusic - thanks for the explanation. I couldn’t imagine what might have turned your front yard orange…lol. My front yard, looked very pretty when it was covered in snow yesterday. Now the rain has washed all the snow away and our front path and driveway are all flooded. It seems like the rain is never going to end!

Okay. Time to break out the Shirley Temples.

yemaya13 is in EDII to Carleton! Our own little yemaya… we’re going to have to share her with all of Carleton now. Ah, well. She will light up the place, I am sure.

Congrats to our SA baby, all grown up and going off to college. Is turnabout fair play? Can we lurk and follow her around to see what she drinks?

A good friend of mine went to Carleton…years ago. Great school. Excellent men’s a cappella group. Lucky yemaya. ;)

Bunsenburner, this am it was barely 60 degrees IN MY HOUSE. Ice and snow here today. My Coronas are on the porch…Irish coffee on the menu for later.

Happy Valentine’s Day, all! I’ve been working on taxes all afternoon, and H is in an all-day-class-from-h***… we’ll be in rare form this evening!!!

2cakes,
I am trying an experiment in oldest S’s room. (He’s away at school.) It’s always the coldest room in the house because it is over the garage. I closed off the one vent in the room so that we don’t unnecessarily heat his room, and I closed the door to his room so that the cold air from his room doesn’t get into the rest of the house. When I went in there yesterday to see how cold it was, the weather station he has in the room was reading 47.9 degrees. Now that’s brisk! :D

It’s a walk-in refrigerator! At least in the winter…

Or a place to store all your fur coats, right? All 324 of them?

Just no marmot capelets, please.

Bumping the Alley up from Page 3.

Just because it’s Saturday morning and I absolutely love love love Saturday mornings.

I guess that means Saturday mornings are your passion Alu… you can tell I’ve been browsing, no?

I love Sat mornings too. It’s the beginning of the wheeeeee-knend!!

Hope everyone is having a fun one!

Yes. Saturday mornings are my passion. I have taken advanced placement in Saturdays, and in fact have been Commended and Recognized and Presidented and Book Prized and Honored and made the Valedictorian of Saturday mornings.

Apparently Valedictorian means sayer of the farewell in Latin. Hmmm. I believe I am the Salutatorian of Saturday morning. The sayer of hello. To be Valedictorian I would have had to have woken up far too early…

Hey ***** LOOK******!! We are nearing the BIG 10,000 post mark!! Time to start planning the celebration!!! Ideas???

I suggest booze.
