mommusic,
It’s great when typos are in line with the sentiment! Please pour me one of those cosmos. I am drinking lighter today. Still feeling battered and bruised… Ouch! Should I venture into one of those political or religious threads for a little r&r? ;)

Doin’ taxes tonight. Who is pourin’ and what are we drinkin?

I don’t know what we’re drinking, but I want a triple. Just checked in on LTS’s thread.
This $#&@^% #%@# disease p**es me off. A lot.

jym – what’s with you and taxes anyway? first your dad’s…now yours. I thought taxes were what April 14th was for!

You got that right, ivory… except that one of the schools that DS applied to has emailed us probably 8 times saying they need the signed tax forms in order to calculate a financial award (or words to that effect). That is an incentive!

astrophysicsmom,
You got that right. Raisin’ one to LTS.

Just came from LTS’s thread too. I have a big bottle of DUTY-FREE Irish whiskey and a handful of shot glasses ready to go…

Oooh. Just read LTS’s last post. So unfair. But I had to smile that despite it all, she still talked her way out of the hospital in record time. Amazing. Simply amazing.

Here’s to LTS! Hang in there. We are all pulling for you.

Heck, I just checked in on LTS’s thread also.

There’s enough of us Sinners and other CCers who are Mad As Hell And Not Gonna Take It Anymore… that I would think that disease would be cowering. Of course, all of us put together could not make it cower as much as LTS herself.

What a woman. ::raises glass::

I hate to be the bearer of more bad news, but I just read a report that Patrick Swayze is being treated for pancreatic cancer. He is still working and feeling fine.

S****

oh gawd,mommusic, thats terrible!!
I will treasure my copy of Dirty Dancing and Ghost. As an aside, I need a mellow ,smoothe drink. Another tragic loss of an18 yr old from our community (see my thread on the Auburn freshman). And now I have to work on taxes. That is a double whammy. Is ther a drink by that name? Anyone know?

jym626,
I recommend a tea with honey and a shot of something…that’s a double whammy-alcohol and caffeine…
Or for just mellow a cup of chamomille-skip the shot. I saw your other post and thought I might find you here…unbearable for her family…

jym–there is a drink called the Wamboozie and one called What the He**, also a What the F-word. You name it, there’s a drink.

I’d like a Double Wamboozie, please.

Never mind, just a double shot of anything good and strong. Sad, sad.

HAHAHA mommusic!! I need something strong!! Anyone notice that I am stalling on doing my taxes???

Ah.

The moment at 2am where the bartender is telling everyone that she really means it. That everyone has to go home. That she’s closing down.

And then someone, you know who you are, says, “Can’t leave yet. One last shot for Latetoschool.”

“Ah,” says the bartender. Puts away the dishtowel she was using to wipe down the bar. “Yes, for that, fine. We will keep the Alley open. Latetoschool, here’s to you.”

I think we should come up with a drink and a name to name it with in honor of LatetoSchool.

Whatever you name that drink, it would have to be strong as he**!!!

I think it should be called “moxie”

Great name, Jym. Now we just have to figure out what’s in it. Any ideas?
