Sir

for those of you hippies out there who dont know what it means (statement of intent to register) I was wondering…since I have to decide by may 1st and since I havent heard from WP…can I still decide to attend even if I register with another college? Or is this a permanent thing? I need to register at either UCI or Oxford College (related to Emory).

how do you think everyone else who hears from the academies after may 1st deals with it?

committing to a college is not legally binding.

ohhhh …I hate my counselors…lol

ew, uci :-P

im about to send SIRs to both illinois and davis to give myself a few more months to decide  oh thatd be gutsy.

It is perfectly appropriate to register with another college at this time if you’re still waiting for West Point. To the best of your knowledge, AT THIS TIME, you’ll be attending that college. Of course, you’ll write off the deposit…

We sent the deposit in to UCLA for my son - and he heard from WP two weeks later. A year later he still has a UCLA email address, and I still get emails inviting me to UCLA parents events. SO, no problem sending in your deposit to another school. Just make sure that if you do hear from WP and decide to accept your appointment, then let the other school know right away so another kid can get in there.
