Sister Colleges

I attend Norco College which is a part of the RCC district. Within the district, there is Riverside City College, Norco College, and Moreno Valley College. My home college is Norco.

I plan to take calculus 1A at RCC in the summer and calculus 1B in the fall at Norco. Is this going to affect my admissions decision when I apply this fall because I will complete the series at two different CCs? I am taking the class at RCC because it works best with my work scheduke.

Thanks

I completed Calc 1 and Calc 2 in a similar way as you plan on doing at “sister colleges” and was admitted to UCLA.

So I attend GWC, but my sister colleges are OCC and CCC.

My unit load is:
~37 Units Completed from GWC
12 at OCC
12 at CCC

I completed many of my classes in this way where I just had to go where a class was available. I was admitted to UCLA and UCB. The only thing that matters really is your GPA, not where you completed your courses.

@imaplealot‌ Hey I attend GWC too! :)

In terms of what OP asked, yeah it’s totally fine to take a series at sister colleges. I took Physical Anthro at GWC and Cultural Anthro and Archaeo at OCC for my major pre-reqs and I was admitted to UCLA, UCB, UCSD, and UCD. You’re all good OP.

@ale2194: That’s awesome! GWC is really underrepresented in the UCs in comparison to OCC and IVC. I think I checked statistics, and OCC sends about 1000 students to UCs per year, but we send about 100 or so.
