Sitting in lectures I'm not registered for

I’ll be a freshman this fall, and because I didn’t have my final exam grades (I went to a British high school) I wasn’t allowed to enroll into math seeing as if I got an A I’d get credit for 31A and 31B. Now I don’t wanna jump into 32A after doing barely any calculus for a whole quarter, so will I be able to just sit in at 31A or 31B lectures? Or is it strict as to who can enter the lecture hall? Sorry if this is a stupid q its just I’ve heard of ppl randomly sitting in lectures they’re not registered for in other colleges

It usually doesn’t matter for big lectures (50+ students).

I would just enroll into Math 32A. It’s not really calculus dependent like integrating and differentiating until the 3rd or 5th week? So going to Math 31A and Math 31B isn’t really necessary.

And yeah, you can sit in for those lectures, since professors won’t really notice.

No one has designated seating in math lectures, people disappear and numbers get smaller as weeks go by actually, so it really doesn’t matter. And in 32A…i remember ALOT of drawing graphs haha, but not much differentiating or intergrating… I think thats more 32B

Yep. Any time there are 50+ students, you can sit in because the professors do not take roll. However, some classes (e.g. language classes) are ~25 people, and they do take roll and kick you out if you are not enrolled in the class (due to obvious reasons).
