Sitting in on classes you aren't registered for

There are a few classes I’m interested in that I don’t have room for in my schedule (such as PHIL 421 Metaphysics), but they’re upper year classes, so the class size is likely somewhat small. Do many professors at McGill notice or care in classes that are sub 50?

idk thats a little iffy if its below 35 but idk might as well try

If you are going to be a regular attender, I would suggest talking to the prof. They may be flattered that you have a keen interest in their class and not only allow you to attend, but dish out brownie points.

Large classes shouldnt normally be a problem. Small ones depend on the prof. As for PHIL 421, it would probably be weird if you came to lectures because it’s a small class and most the seats are taken up each class, if not all of them. Not to mention the prof knows everybodies name (I’m speaking from firsthand experience. I’m in the class right now).

ah, how do you like it so far? Still debating whether I should try to fit it in or not, since I’d have to take prereqs
