my problem is that my SAT Critical Reading score was in the 99th percentile, a 770, and my Math was in the 64th, a 560. (my writing score was in the 89th percentile - 640, but I’ve heard that not too many colleges pay attention to that part anyway.)

so, if I’m looking to be an English major without ANY intention of doing anything math-related…will that depressing math score really hurt me THAT much? or might college admissions look the other way and focus on the critical reading?
