skip precalc to ap stats, or study for ap microecon?

I’m in a bit of a conundrum here, I’ve been trying to decide whether I should try skipping precalc during this summer, or if I should try independently studying for microecon

what I really want to know is how easy skipping precalc is. I know that stats is somewhat easier as a class then calc is, and a few of my friends went from alg2 to calc ab this year. has anyone else taken precalc over the summer and skipped to another math? and if so, how easy/difficult was it?

if I don’t end up taking precalc over the summer, I’ll just end up studying for microeconomics, which is something that I’d probably be more interested in. but seeing as how senior year requires you to take macro, I’m not too set on studying independently (I’ll be a junior next year)

any input would be good, because I’m getting ambivalent advice, and it’s going to be hard coming up with a decision

Okay, what do you plan to do after highschool? If you are going to need math in college, don’t skip precalc. That could be a major gap in your education. I skipped trig. and I had to work twice as hard as everyone else just to be on the same level. If your school requires you take an economy class, what is the point of self-studying?
