Will colleges see skipping 10th grade as a bad thing?

No. Nor will they necessarily see it as a good thing either.

Yes.

An acdemic year not only contributes to your academics but your
extracurricular growth.

I’m thinking that invariably they would like to see the motive of skipping a year. Of course, they have no way to address you directly (except through the interview), but I would recommend to address this impending question and thus convey more positively about yourself (so it’s not like you’re trying to hide something) by discussing your motives (if you’re not concerned about sharing them) in Additional Info.

I agree with oasis (so this is somewhat a reiteration)–it depends on the reasoning behind it. Make sure to do interviews if you think this may be an issue. Additionally, have your Guidance counselor address it in their recommendation and possibly talk about it in the “Additional Information” section
